pride & prejudice - the gay panto

had a second outing!

It was a blast before the pandemic and then it came back bigger, funnier and even more outrageous!

PRIDE & PREJUDICE - THE GAY PANTO returned to the White Bear Theatre in December 2022.

Following the sold-out three week run in 2019 Waste Not Theatre significantly redeveloped the script, added even more scandalous characters and classic gay anthems; bawdy scenes and high-campery and a liberal sprinkling of festive spirit.

Let us visit this delicious world of the Bennets.

After all, it is a truth universally acknowledged that a great novel can only be enhanced by a bit of filth.

Think slapstick, think cock fighting, cross-dressing sisters and a hunk-in-trunks!

All the central characters will be featured, but not as Austen fans currently know them to be. You’ll never be able to think of Pride & Prejudice in the same way again.

Adapted by Kevin Quinn, directed by Scott Wright and brought to life by Waste Not Theatre PRIDE & PREJUDICE - THE GAY PANTO ran from December 8th to 23rd with Saturday matinees, early evening performances on Sundays.

This outing enjoyed another SOLD OUT run.
