pride and prejudice:the gay panto

“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a great novel can only be enhanced by a bit of filth.”

Waste Not Theatre presents Pride and Prejudice: The Gay Panto, Jane Austen’s classic romantic novel of manners as you’ve never seen it before.

Think slapstick, cock fights, cross-dressing sisters and a hunk in trunks!

The Gay Panto features much of Austen’s text, lovingly adapted for the stage by Kevin Quinn through the prism of panto and smut while leaving the glory(hole) of the original very much in place.

Pride and Prejudice: The Gay Panto was staged at the White Bear, Kennington and enjoyed a three-week, sold-out run from December 2019 to January 2020.
